Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering a raid on Chelsea this summer for either Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri.
According to Calciomercato, Mourinho would like to bring in one of the left-backs to Roma as a replacement for Leonardo Spinazzola.
Spinazzola suffered a ruptured Achilles during Italy’s European Championship win against Belgium on Friday.
Roma’s flying defender will certainly miss the first few months of the season, leaving Mourinho one man down in his squad.
Hence his apparent desire to storm Stamford Bridge and sign one of Thomas Tuchel’s soldiers.
Both Emerson and Alonso can easily play wing-back or full-back, having done so for club and country.
The duo have been heavily tipped with a transfer away from Chelsea, with Italy their most likely next destination.
